教授、主任技师、医学博士、博士/硕士生导师、美国约翰霍普金斯大学医学院从事研究工作11年、曾任武汉大学检验科主任、法医司法鉴定所负责人,现任武汉大学检验系主任、实验诊断学教研室主任、中南医院检验科和基因诊断中心副主任。全国考试指导委员会医学技术副主任委员、中国检验校际协作会副理事长和生化学组组长、中国中西医学会检验分会常委和肿瘤学组主委、中国医院协会检验管理专业委员会委员。
